A NEW SPACE FOR A NEW VISION

A space is the most impactful place to tell a story and build a mindset around a brand. It’s the only opportunity where a brand fully comes to life, where people can literally walk around within your concept, your identity.

We took advantage of that here at Lending Club and defined a culture by creating a unique, ownable, branded space.

DEFINING UNIQUE SPACES WITH A UNIFIED LOOK

When dealing with a space as large as the Lending Club San Francisco Headquarters, it is important to find a balance between unique environments and consistent themes and messaging.

The conference rooms were a great avenue to explore unique executions of the same concept. All conference rooms are named by investor grades that have corresponding colors. We let the grade letters + colors drive the design of these spaces. We used this formula to weave a consistent element throughout the formal, living room, and traditional style conference rooms.

This approach brought function + style to a variety of spaces without loosing sight of the core brand elements.

INTRODUCING GRACE PERIOD

Grace Period is a full-service coffee bar with a range of snacks and specialty coffee drinks made by the in-house barista. All this and it’s on the house!

But for us, that is only a portion of the “wow” factor. Grace Period was designed with a purpose in mind. The staff on this floor had a challenge getting a true “break” during their time away from the call center. We were challenged with solving that problem. Our solution was a fully branded space that brought all aspects of a traditional shop within the walls of Lending Club. From naming, to logo to furniture and drink ware, every aspect was intentionally designed.

Not only did this space increase morale for hourly employees, it soon became a morning ritual for all LC employees. This coffee shop became a place that would continue to connect the workforce as the company grows.

WELCOME TO THE LC COUNTRY CLUB

A 9 hole golf course cored on the 12th floor added some serious wow factor while also solving a need. With a fully branded floor supporting the golf course theme, everything from graphics to equipment to signage built a brand that transformed a space.

With limited time and a growing staff, the course served as a natural team builder, with tournaments, trophies, and friendly competition.

It allowed for an easy opportunity to escape the stresses of the work day and recharge all without leaving the floor.
